Jonas Who?

So. Today at work we had what is commonly called a "meet and greet" with a popular boy-band that rhymes with Bonus Brothers. I invited my cousin Aly over since I had no idea who these brothers were and she is 11. Apparently, they are all the rage among the younger set, as evidenced when they came out of a stairwell and the loudest "SQUUUUEEEEE!!!!"ing I've ever heard in my life commenced. Aly was so excited. She got to take her picture with them, and we got tons of random pictures of them standing with other fans. I'm guessing they are like the Backstreet Boys/New Kids on the Block for a younger generation. They are certainly cute enough, I guess. I just felt really old all of a sudden. You know you're old when you realize you're looking around at the other people in line more than getting all worked up about seeing the latest Disney craze.

Only three more wakeups before I leave to go to Florida! Watch out sharks in the Gulf of Mexico... Here I come! I am also excited to see Turner Field in Atlanta again. I haven't been there for about five years now, but it is a great place to watch a ballgame. Should be a blast!

In sad news, Missy called me and told me her dog "Spanky" died last night. He was a 13 year old Chow, and the sweetest dog in the world. So sad.

In more sad news, Estelle Getty (my favorite Golden Girl) died as well. I loved that old woman. Rest in peace, ma.
