- I am addicted to trashy romance novels. I have been known to go through maybe four or five new books a week. When I run out of authors who have new books out, I end up resorting to reading the Harlequin ones, which are horribly cheesy and all have the same plot. I can't help myself. I also love to reread books I've already read. It's a good thing I am a quick reader or I would never get anything done.
- I hate to cook. I love to eat, but cooking food is not fun to me. I end up making things that only take minimal prep. time, because I hate cooking with a passion. If I was rich, I would just eat out all the time. Which I do way too much anyway, and I am most definitely not rich.
- I am terrified of birds, stairs, and car washes that you have to drive into. Birds have frightened me from a young age, ever since my parents let me watch that movie "the Birds" by Alfred Hitchcock. I can't go through that walk through thing at the zoo without having a major heartattack. I have a recurring fear of falling down stairs. It doesn't help that I can't see my feet too well when I am walking down them. Everytime I go down stairs, I just imagine what would happen if I fell down them and broke my neck. Weird, I know. Car washes are a fairly recent fear. About 8 years ago, I drove into one and ran into the rail on the side and messed up the car wash track. Ever since then, I can't drive into one. I just refuse to do it. My brain will not let me even look at a drive through car wash without shuddering.
- Plants hate me. I had a fern a couple of years ago (named Robert, of course) and he died within three weeks of me getting him. Ferns are supposed to be hardy! Anyway, everytime I try to get a plant for my apartment, it always ends up dying. I just think they die to escape from watching so much television with me. Just a theory.
- Oh, Designed to Sell. You are my guilty pleasure. I can watch it and watch it and watch it. It makes me want to own a house. If only so I can have them come in and fix it up so that I can sell it.
- I only wash my hair every other day. I read somewhere that washing it every day strips it of natural oils and such, so for the last year or so, I have been only washing it every other day. I can't tell the difference, but I don't spend as much on shampoo, so whatever.
- I hate talking on the telephone. Either email me, or talk to me in person, because I am not the type of person to just jabber away on the phone. If you do call me, most likely when you go on and on about something, I am doing something else like reading or watching tv and not listening. Which I know in this day and age makes me really antisocial, but there is a reason I only have a few friends. I don't enjoy chatting on the phone. I would rather be looking at someone when I talk. It's more personal, and it's just easier for me. I like to read body language and interact with the person, which on a telephone is just impossible.
So there you are. Seven random things. Don't mind me. I've been in a bad mood for the last six months, and will probably continue to be in a bad mood into the new year! Hooray for installing new accounting systems!
Later.

Oh, I love it when you copy me! You make me laugh so much!
Your fears are reasonable...but CARWASHES?
Seriously. I was traumatized! I hit the rail! And the car wash guy yelled at me! Now I go to the ones where they drive it in for you. I love the Auto Butler guys. I just get out and give them my keys and go wait inside with a nice soft drink until my car is shiny and clean!
